03 tj awd think front diff stuffd up

was driving fine yesterday till i pulld up at lights, felt like my fron left tyrs breaks were playin up. kept drivin car ran fine again then i stopd it wouldnt move made a crunching noise now i cant move the car i put it in drive and it just revs. anyone know what it can be a friend said it may be the front diff but im not sure?

Most likely the trans, they have a few issues with springs as well as other issues internally

If needed, I have one here with only 74k's on it, let me know how you end up

I had this problem and had a crunching noise,but on the drivers side, car then pull hard to the left while driving , and it was the cv. boot had split and got shit in it just needed a rebuild or reeplacment.

yeah i wish mine was the cv joint but its not

yeah i had that problem to, and not long after i dropped it off last tuesday i went to see it on a thursday afternoon and i saw the wave spring, broke in 5-6 pieces and one of the springs had shot through all the gears and took a chunk out of one and managed to get through some bearings and dig into one of the shafts =[ but a full rebuild is complete and yeah will be good
